Description

Create your very own Positive Affirmation Station for your classroom or space with these stunning and connected Country in Colour Ngurra Affirmation templates.
Affirmation Stations engage students and help them to build better relationships with themselves and others. Plus, they create a warm, safe and positive environment with Indigenous artwork.
What is an affirmation? An affirmation is a short phrase that is recited with the purpose of empowering students.
How can I implement an Affirmation Station? Many educators, parents and wellbeing officers have placed the encouraging words or adjectives around a mirror in their classrooms, spaces and home learning places, creating stunning displays of optimism with these Aboriginal artwork labels. Every morning, as they gaze into the affirmations mirror, they select a word or phrase that best describes what they want to focus on that day. This may also be used to create a stunning rainbow door show!
How can I use this resource? Simply print, cut out and display to boost self-esteem and provide others with their recommended daily intake of joy and optimism. These will also help adults and teachers!

Design
“Country in Colour – Ngurra is inspired by the Country we grew up on and the interconnectedness we share with our environment, how the country and land we live on is absorbed into our being and fibres. The colours capture the many different colours we see on Country. The sky is our pathways to the next life, the yellow is the sun that shines through. The mountains are what shields us on our country. The people sit around in circles among the native foods, all in abundance out on Country.” Leah Cummins
