Aboriginal Murals

A collaborative cultural art experience creating lasting connection to Country within your learning space.

Workshop Overview

The Aboriginal School Mural Program is a collaborative art experience that supports schools and organisations to create a culturally meaningful mural grounded in connection to Country, community, and place.

Working alongside an Aboriginal facilitator and artist, participants engage in guided discussion about local context, symbolism, and respectful representation. The mural is designed in consultation to ensure it reflects shared learning and cultural integrity. Students contribute to the artwork in structured stages, learning about visual storytelling, symbolism, and the importance of cultural protocols.

The result is not simply a mural, but a lasting visual statement of commitment to cultural understanding, belonging, and respect.
