Design
“My Country is a piece inspired from the Country I grew up on and the interconnectedness I share with my surroundings. My Country is absorbed into my being and fibres. The browns show the levels of soils and dirt covering the land that sustain life. These also show the different resources extracted by us for use in ceremonies and for trade. The patterns and lines shows the landscape transitioning through the tens of thousands of years that we have been on this land and have been taking care of it.” – Leah Cummins
Artist
